What are inconsistencies?
Inconsistencies are data that are inconsistent within your system, that is, data from farm entries that are incorrect or missing that need to be corrected.
For example: If the sow takes 115 days to farrow the piglets, as soon as the farrowing takes place it is necessary to update the system. If it is not updated and you delay to entry data, it becomes an “inconsistency”, being correct again when the adjustment is made.
In the image below you can see the above example:
In the “Problem” column, the description of what is inconsistent will appear.
When a yellow symbol appears, it means that we have a point of attention.
If it already appears in red, it means that the index is already far from the desired range. These colors appear according to the goals established by the farm.
How important is it to keep the system up to date?
We reinforce that keeping the management system up to date will allow you to have complete and correct information about your farm, so that you can make assertive analysis of the results and focus on points for improvement, such as a reduction in Non-Productive Days (NPD), for example.
Once the system becomes outdated, the information seen ends up not being true, as it does not reflect the reality of the farm. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the system up to date to extract the best it can offer.
How to identify inconsistencies:
To identify and check if you have any inconsistency is quite simple. Just access your S4 and access the “Overview” of each stage. Check out the example below, in the Breeding stage:
How to fix inconsistencies:
To adjust the inconsistencies, you just need to access the Overview of each stage and check which data is inconsistent and ask yourself “what happened to this animal?”, that is, what event happened to it that was not recorded.
For each animal, the system displays the problem identified through the “Problem” column. Once you select the desired icon, the S4 will open the launch screen for you to update.
- Breeding Herd stage:
Farm > Breeding Herd > Overview > Note the fifth column labeled as "problem"
For the Breeding Herd tab we have 4 action possibilities:
Mating registration - Culling- Sale - Death, respectively.
*Remembering that in the breeding herd, when you register a cullingit is necessary to perform a Sale or Death entry. If you directly register the sale, the system automatically generates the animal's culling. If the sale did not take place on the same day as the culling, you can register the culling first.
Management > Breeding> Overview > Note the fifth column titled "Problems"
For the Breeding tab we have five possibilities of action:
Register farrowing, Reproductive loss, Culling, Sale and Death, respectively.
By clicking on the icon that represents what happened to the mother, a birth, for example, it is possible to register the date on which the birth took place and the information regarding the birth.
Management > Farrowing> Overview > Note the fifth column titled "Problems".
For the Farrowing tab we have a possibility of action: Weaning.
By clicking on the icon located in the first column - Action -, the weaning data entry screen will open. And you will be able to update this weaning data.
Management> Nursery > Overview > Note the fifth column titled "Problems"
For the nursery tab we have four possibilities:
Registration of Sale, Death, Stage Transfer and another exit
