If you want to know more information about sow performance, you can access S4 by going to Management > Breeding Herd > Analysis Center > Sow Performance

The sow performance is important to analyze the operation of the farm and its impact on production as a whole.

The key index here is PSY (weaned pig / female / year) ,. The more the farm is weaned/produced in a year, the indexes will be positively impacted.

Therefore, it is extremely important to always check these indexes that appear in productivity, as they serve as a ''thermometer'' of the farm, facilitating the understanding of which indexes are lacking and which are achieving good results.

There are several filters where you can check the sow performance. The performance will be evaluated according to the selected indicator and whether it is high or low productivity. For example, low sow productivity is influenced by low farrowing rate, high mortality rate, etc.

For the performance indicator, you can look for Total Born, Average Weaned Pigs, PSY or Liveborn/Sow/Year. There is other filters like Number of Sows and All reproductive status.

On the sow performance list, you will find more detailed information of the sow like cycle, the number of the sow and etc. Some of this information is based on formulas and you can check the formula and more info about some of the columns below:

Born Last 3 Farrowing: Average of total births of the last 3 births of the sow on the farm. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Liveborn last 3 farrowing: Average liveborn of the last 3 births of the sow on the farm. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Weaned last 3 farrowing: Average weaning of the last 3 sows farrowing on the farm. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Average Total Born: Average of total piglets in the farrowing. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Average Liveborn: Average of live piglets in the farrowing. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Average Weaned Pigs: Weaned average of the sow on the farm. This average is only calculated if there was a total wean in the period. If you only had partial weanings in the period it will not be calculated. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Average Breeding Days:  Average days of gestation of the sow on the farm. For more information on the formula, CLICK HERE

Average Lactation Days: Average days of lactation of the sow in the farm. For more information on the formula,  CLICK HERE
