When you enter a mating, after entering the date, the system will show three group options.
This provides more flexibility and helps to place the sow in the correct group, even if she is between two management weeks. The options are:
Group Option and when to use it:
Previous Group: For sows that are late in heat and will be mated outside the planned management week.
Current Group: This is the standard option, for sows that are mated in the current management week, as planned.
Next Group: For sows that came into heat early (like early gilts) and that you will group with next week's batch.
This help ensures that your management data remains accurate, even if there are small variations in the animals' cycle.
