  1. Bulk upload of piglet births and deaths data

Now it is possible to import files (xlsx) with mass records of births and deaths of piglets in the farrowing phase to optimize the process.

  • How it works?

Download the piglet births and death template in Farm > Settings > General > Data import.

Attention: The farrowing functionality is only available for commercial farms, as on genetic farms there are farrowings that generate piglet IDs. Piglet death is also available for genetics farms, but for cases in which the dead piglets are not identified.

  • Importing data on piglet births and deaths events

In the lists of piglet births and deaths in the management entries menu, simply click the export spreadsheet button, select the document in which you completed the data and wait for S4 to load the information into the system.

The information will appear on the launch screen.

2. New Analysis on Herd and Sow Record Form: PPL and NPD Life

The PPL is part of a new approach to evaluating the female herd on the farm, which was presented at the last Agriness Awards.

Additionally, we have created a new indicator, DNP Life, which will also support the analysis of the efficiency of the herd matrices.

What does each acronym mean?

  • PPL (Piglets Produced in the Life of the Sow)

This is a new indicator that complements the farm's productivity assessment by showing how many piglets the sow has produced (weaned) until its removal from the herd due to death or culling.

Where? Go to Management > Breeding Herd > Analysis Center > Herd Analysis

Check that the PPL is already displayed on the screen in the last quadrant.

  • NPD Life (Not Productive Days in the Entire Life of the Sow)

This is the sum of non-productive days that the sow has had throughout its life.

Where? Go to Management > Breeding Herd > Analysis Center > Performance > Sow Record Form

Select the female you want to check the information and press Enter. The new analyses will be available on the screen.
